To change styles in Facecard: Makeup Showdown on Roblox, open the makeup station editor and select the STYLE tab on the left-hand navigation panel. From there, choose any of the six categories—HEAD, EYES, HAIR, BANGS, PIERCING, or POSE—and click a style card. The selected feature applies directly to your 3D model with no extra confirmation step.
How to access and change styles
The modeling interface separates cosmetic brush painting from structural styling. While painting tools sit under the MAKEUP tab, all physical model adjustments take place within the STYLE tab.
- Enter the makeup station and dismiss the initial tutorial prompts covering tools, skin tone, mirror usage, and rules.
- Locate the main vertical menu panel on the left edge of your screen.
- Click the STYLE tab, positioned alongside MAKEUP and SCULPT.
- Select one of the six style category icons: HEAD, EYES, HAIR, BANGS, PIERCING, or POSE.
- Browse the available preset cards or enter a specific name in the search box where available.
- Click any preset card to equip it onto your model immediately.
If you want to clear an item or return to a default look, select the neutral card in that category, such as Classic under HEAD, None under POSE, or No Piercing under PIERCING.
Style categories and preset options
Each category under the STYLE tab controls a different physical aspect of the avatar canvas. The table below lists the available options and extras confirmed in the game:
| Category | Available presets | Special features and costs |
|---|---|---|
| HEAD | Classic, Aniya, Mina, Collie, Rina | Swaps 3D facial structure and base skin tone simultaneously. |
| EYES | Natural, Doe, Bright, Star, Sparkles, Doll, Heart | Natural, Doe, and Bright are free; Star, Sparkles, Doll, and Heart cost $11,750 in-game cash each. Includes color swatches and a WHITES toggle. |
| HAIR | Glam Waves, Goddess Waves, Hollywood Waves, Swirl Blowout, Doll Curls, Bouncy Curls, Layered Curls, Salon Curls, Big Blowout, 80s Blowout, 70s Flicks, Windy Pony, Sleek Bob | Includes a Search hair bar and specific colorway cards. |
| BANGS | Wispy Curtain, Soft Curtain, Sleek Curtain, Side Part | Layers directly over equipped hairstyles. |
| PIERCING | Custom, No Piercing, Septum Ring, Nose Stud, Snake Bites, Medusa, Eyebrow, Bridge, Bite Me, Punk Princess, Angel Bites | Offers individual metal pieces as well as pre-arranged sets. |
| POSE | None, Daniela, Smirk, Bleh, XOXO | Adjusts the model's stance and facial attitude for voting. |
Head structure and skin tones
Head presets modify both the model's facial shape and base skin complexion at the same time. For instance, choosing Aniya applies darker skin alongside altered facial contours, while selecting Classic resets the canvas back to the default face. Because head presets dictate the canvas proportions, selecting your head structure before applying makeup layers prevents design mismatch.
Eye styles and pricing
Eye styles alter iris design and lash shaping. The three base presets—Natural, Doe, and Bright—are unlocked for all players at no cost. The four premium eye designs—Star, Sparkles, Doll, and Heart—require $11,750 in in-game cash each. You earn this currency by placing in competition rounds. The eye section also provides dedicated color swatches to tint the iris, alongside a WHITES setting.
Hairstyles and color variants
Your model begins each session completely bald. Hair presets are organized as individual cards rather than a single slider. To find a specific cut quickly, type the name into the Search hair box at the top of the category panel.
Hair color variants appear as separate cards labeled with the base cut and the tint in parentheses:
- Glam Waves: Black, Brown, Caramel, Platinum, Red, Hot Pink
- Goddess Waves: Black, Brown, Ginger
Clicking a color card replaces the current cut and color instantly. Beneath the hair interface, a BUY THIS HAIR button allows players to purchase the corresponding hair item for their external Roblox avatar account.
Layering bangs and piercings
Bangs exist in a separate category from primary hair, allowing you to stack pieces like Wispy Curtain or Side Part over any wave or curl base. The piercing category includes single studs such as Nose Stud and Septum Ring, along with combination layouts like Punk Princess and Angel Bites. Clicking No Piercing clears all jewelry from the face.
Managing hair cards
- Swapping: Click any new hairstyle card to overwrite the current selection. You do not need to clear your active hair first.
- Removing: Click the currently equipped hairstyle card a second time. This detaches the hair and returns the avatar to a bald base.
- Returning to makeup: Once your hair and accessories are set, click the MAKEUP tab in the left-hand panel. All chosen hair and structural assets stay equipped while you continue painting brushes and cosmetics.
Style tab vs. Sculpt tab requirements
Players frequently confuse the STYLE tab with the adjacent SCULPT tab.
The SCULPT tab contains face sliders and stays locked behind community requirements. To unlock the Sculpt sliders, you must join the Facecard: Makeup Showdown Roblox group, give the game a thumbs-up vote on its main page, and rejoin the server.
In contrast, the STYLE tab requires no group membership and no page likes. All head shapes, hairstyles, bangs, piercings, poses, and basic eye styles are unlocked and ready to use the moment you load into a dressing station. The only gated items within the Style menu are the four premium eye styles that require in-game round earnings.
Frequently asked questions
How do you unlock the locked eye styles?
Star, Sparkles, Doll, and Heart eye styles cost $11,750 in in-game cash each. You obtain this currency by competing in showdown rounds and scoring placements during room voting.
Why did my model's hair disappear?
Clicking an equipped hairstyle card a second time removes it from the model. Click the card or select any other hairstyle in the HAIR category to put hair back on your character.
Can you change your style after starting makeup?
Yes. You can switch between the MAKEUP and STYLE tabs at any point before the timer runs out. Any adjustments made under Style preserve your cosmetic paint work, though changing the Head preset alters the underlying facial structure and base skin tone.
